Balgay at Inchture in the Carse of Gowrie

Balgay Farm

The purchase of Balgay farm along with adjacent ground has brought the the total area under cultivation up to in excess of one thousand acre. Balgay Farm is located between Perth and Dundee.

A high quality pedigree Shorthorn Herd is being established at Balgay and on Wednesday 2nd Febuary 2010 the champion bull, Chapelton Braveheart, from Donald Biggar, was purchased at the "Perth" bull sales.

Braveheart is a son of  ChapeltonTyphoon and is Typhoon's third son to win the Perth championship. Chapelton Braveheart was also the male champion at the Highland show in 2009.

During 2010 an Aberdeen Angus herd was purchased from Auldhouseburn and established at Balgay.

The champion Angus bull at Stirling bull sales, Idvies Jarvis Eric J427, was purchased in Februray 2011 for 20,000 guineas.
